Hard pass. A 32 year old that's on pace for like 20 points is not the solution to our offensive woes. Let alone at the expense of a 3rd round pick.

Got to remember he had a carrer year just last season. Maybe he can get going with Hughes, and 2 years at 3.5 is not much of a risk imo... just an idea

I think you're right about him, he's not the sniper zyyyp wants (me too) but that guy in front that Ruff says we're lacking. The age is not fantastic, but at next yrs tdl you could recoup something. I think there's something there, maybe even a prospect who has little chance with crowded players above him.

JVR at $3.5 million is probably worth the risk considering he fills a need (big-body-soft-hands-type to play in front of the net, tip shots, clean up rebounds and screen goalie).
His skill-set is also what we hope for Nolan Foote, so possibly mentor role there.
If Philly would do it for a lesser pick, even better.
