The “NHL Season” has turned into a game of who doesn’t have covid. It’s natural that that is the main topic of discussion, because that’s literally all there is to discuss right now. It’s the 20 biggest news items of every day. Also, covid shouldn’t be political. It’s science, not something you can take sides on.

Yes and no. You can’t disagree about the science, but you can disagree about how the science is interpreted which I think is what causes issues. I like to imagine similarly to an issue like BLM. It isn’t inherently political but it has become political. Probably just both topics should be shied away from, just thought I’d chime in a little bit

Voting for 10 games. It's one thing to hit on the head, but it's another when you do it to a player who doesn't have the f*cking puck.

Imagine it was Wilson, and let's say it was Panarin on Kero's position. All social medias would have an absolute meltdown.

Yeah, sadly that is true, something that isn’t political in itself has become entrenched in partisan debates

Sooooooo even Refs are being placed in protocol now, there’s 101 PLAYERS in protocol, 40 staff and 13+ Refs with 5 teams shut down for like another week

Knowing NHL Player “Safety” it probably won’t be that much because of Connolly’s history. (And if it is the arbitrator will probably reduce it because of Player Safety’s f*** ups in the past.)

Absolutely brutal. Connolly deserves to have the book thrown at him.

Would make a lot of sense though I'm not sure I fully trust Spittin Chiclets, I'd probably wait until one of the big insiders reports it

it makes sense tho, guys like Karlsson have basically already said NO without saying no.

Guys with families and lives/ children potentially being trapped in China (basically North Korea), no pay, 5 weeks, you're basically in prison and have to abide by what the Chinese government says.

Honestly if the NHL teams are not allowed to go to the Olympics let the AHL teams go.

Choose the best AHL players and there yah go. Gives prospects some extra development and gives some AHL guys a boost for their goal of making the NHL as impressing on a global stage is a good way to get noticed.

Except then if the AHL doesn't have an Olympic break they're dead and NHL teams will miss the team depth

I don't think it'll matter. Many AHL teams are also in COVID jail.
COVID testing will likely wreak havoc on ALL the other Olympians too and my guess is 100s will test positive at some point and be out of competition...

All cross-border games have been postponed until Dec 23rd so pretty much all Canadian teams have no games this week

These many postponements have made the NHL and NHLPA discuss about the Olympics ( which is probably where Spitin Chiclets got their no Olympics for NHL players from )
