If the leafs shakiness is chalked up to Holl and Muzzin only and we can contend then dubas damnit i don't care about your loyalties just fix it

I actually hope the NHL doesn't send players to the Olympics
The bad outweighs the benefits here
Obviously it would be great to see USA win gold this year, but with the new variant, superstar players could get stuck in China for almost a month
Rather see another tournament like the World Cup of Hockey

Its not its mostly the fact Marner, Sandin, and Dermott are out

Marner being gone is especially noticeable on everything besides the PP. Sandin being gone is also very noticable as he was eating into some of Muzzin and Holl's minutes but since his unfortunate injury thanks to Pionk's knee those two have had to play more which has resulted in the bad play.

I got a feeling once Dermott is back things should smooth out as Dermott-Holl should be a good enough third pairing and allow Muzzin to go back to 20mins a night vs. 25mins

Does anyone know what percentage of NHL players actually participate in the Olympics? My guess is that it's a relatively small percentage. So when Bettman says, "It's up to the players" he's really saying, it's up to the players that are playing in the Olympics.

It's the variants, the problem will eventually become that players don't want to respect the rules because they're strict but it's the only way for there to be an actual complete season

Definitely surprising that he's been the best, but it was expecting him to be the 2nd best defender, so it's not unrealistic

The omicron variant is super transmissible. Thankfully only mild symptoms. Case counts everywhere are skyrocketing.

Really can’t see NHL players going to the Olympics

Covid loves The Cold Weather, happened every year for the past 2 years. Nova Scotia is going into lockdown here soon. They just announced more restriction.

Non-NHL Olympic roster for Team Canada.

I kind of like the idea of keeping NHL players out from the Olympics if only because it highlights a bunch of other names and keeps the tournament so much more competitive. If the NHL puts its foot down on no Olympics, it absolutely must revive the World Cup this summer. Sucks for the German and Slovenian guys that won't get represented beyond that "Team Europe" mess (please don't do that again NHL) but between the Chinese COVID policies, any political or personal stances, I think this is the best outcome.

No I did a trade that helps the Pacers focus on rebuilding

2023 1st (top 5 protected) + 2025 1st (top 5 protected) (NBA does not allow back to back 1sts to be traded) + Flynn for Turner. Heck some even said the package may even get you Sabonis over Turner.

But honestly 75% of pacers fans were good with it. It was the other 25% who were overvaluing the **** out of him lul. And from that it started a war

Either way I think the trade is perfect for both sides as Toronto gets the big they need while the Pacers gets assets that help in their planned rebuild.

Apparently he is along with Turner and LeVert.

Will be interesting to see but apparently Raptors have had preliminary discussions involving the 2 big men from Indiana.
