Description

Let wahlstrom come to the leafs where he won't play 10 minutes a night with some bums.

Wahlstrom (21) stats: 8 goals 11 points in 22 games. 11 mins 22 seconds average toi playing 2nd unit powerplay and has regular ice time with non-offensive players. Also has good defensive analytics a wicked shot, great hands and hockey IQ. Knowing lou we could probably trade Jason Spezza for him 1 for 1.

2 years left on his ELC which will serve us really well. Honestly isles would be stupid to trade him but a man can dream

Great post! Wahlstrom is a guy who I see in a similar situation to Lafreniere - big skilled winger who the team wants to use as a checker rather than a point producer. He would be a great pickup if NYI give up on him (they shouldn't).

not happening. they should be playing him more but alas. trading him would be a big big mistake. he has been playing on the first PP unit the past few games tho (and whaddaya know, it’s gotten way better!)

It’s more of a Trotz problem than Lou. There is a disconnect between them. Lou has too big of an ego to trade Wahlstrom, he’s not going anywhere

Sharks are very happy with Barabanov! you guys lost him for nothing and I don't think lighting strikes twice.
but we think long and hard on this one as he would look nice on our 3rd line, but our 3rd line next season is already set with Barabanov - Bodreau/Bonino - Balcers.
so we walk away and some other team gets lucky this time.
