I get the idea of the trade but id probably say no. I think Labanc is the better player but Bougner just hates him for some reason. It only really makes sense as a way to kill cap and let Debrusk walk

I like it. But we really need a 2C and another top 4 D.

He isn’t. Like you i get the concept. And Cassidy hates Debrusk, so it’s similar. I’d rather have Debrusk of the two.

And if they are not getting a equal value C or D i’d rather they get someone on their ELC or picks for cap purposes. A lateral move for a wing makes no sense.

Boston would need to add a bit but yeah could see it.

The main issue with Debrusk comes his QA which will be 4.85mill come 2022

Then you can't do this deal. Doing this deal effectively gives up any chance of acquiring anything approaching a 2C or 4D. If you agree with my position that Lysell and 2022 first are off the table then the Bruins really have no options left on their roster to facilitate a trade to acquire even one of these two pieces. It has to come from a DeBrusk or DeBrusk + trade.

If you aren’t trading the ‘22 1st then you can forget about a 2C or a top 4 D.

No B’s don’t. The QO is 4.4. And it’s irrelevant. Especially when you factor in Labanc is at 4.75.

So be it. This roster has too many holes to fill to be a serious Cup contender. If you can't get value for DeBrusk or DeBrusk +, and I understand why DS may not be able to, then just trade him for picks and go ahead with a reset/rebuild.

Either way way to much for what he does. Lebanc we have seen what he can do and in a top 6 role he should thrive with Hall and Coyle. Debrusk just seems to be going the wrong way.

And Debrusk averaged 25g per 82g playing top 6 role first 3 years. More than Labanc. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The last 2 years battling a lot of factors he has averaged 13 per 82. Labanc is 15 per 82 for his career.

1 for 1 is fair swap but does not work for either team.
