"Elite" prospects?

Yeah he and Laine should be pretty much even.......

Elite is a strong word saved for prospects like Matthews, Laine, McDavid, Eichel.

Not Kempe and especially not .............LaDue???

Don't like the odds the Oilers take on Gaboriks awful contract with McDavid, Nurse, Drai and Puljujarvi all needing contracts within 3 years. Especially since gaborik isn't good anymore

Actually, the above four are exceptional. Kempe and LaDue are elite or at the very least close to it. Everybody has different categories.

Hall to Kings probably can't happen without some money going back to the NJD. Just for the Kings cap.

True unless they move Gaborik or Brown. Which is possible but extremely hard. I say if anything... Gaborik gets moved just before the season starts. If not then next summer it is.

The term "elite" is so overused in today's way to describe prospects. An elite prospect last year were guys like William Nylander, Ivan Provorov, Brandon Carlo, etc. Kempe and LaDue should not be considered elite. To throw those guys into that conversation is an atrocity. Being a Flyers fan, I don't throw players like Morin, Hagg, Sanheim into the term "elite". Sure those guys are good, but are they the cream of the crop? In this day and age, anyone drafted in the first couple of rounds and has a decent highlight reel is "Elite!".

Idk why you gave a 1 star for that but k. I have my own categories that players fit into. Those two guys are really good players if you want me to generalize it.

I personally don't think gaborik as no more than 3 years left in him. He's slow and can't score for ****. Or maybe im just hoping?
