Giroux would be great but if Philly is asking for this we need to stay away. Most I'd be comfortable with is a 1st and a 3rd, but he probably gets more than that from another team.

I surely hope Guerin stays the course and doesn’t do anything this expensive or this damaging to the future health of the franchise! The Wild are doing well, but they are not a legitimate Cup contending team yet! Simply put, this is not a team in an all-in position…not if all variables are accounted for…

I'd like to see Guerin make a bargain trade add, like some depth at defense maybe for a mid round pick just to give the team a little boost. Doing nothing probably sends the wrong message to the locker room that the front office doesn't believe in them. The current team is the type of team that might get by the 1st round, but probably not the 2nd which is perfectly fine for where they are as a team. It's not time yet to be trading 1st round picks for rentals, definitely not adding in a prospect they may need like Addison.

THIS is exactly what I preach against all the time! The old, “the guys in the room deserve this” b.s.!! I think acquiring a player at the deadline says the exact opposite…”we don’t believe in you so we went out and got you help!” It’s an old boys club mentality that has never made sense to me…
