In what world does Anaheim do that.. lol
They're probably making the playoffs and are probably going to extend Lindholm.

Holl is one of the worst defenseman in the NHL. Toronto could add a 1st and the isles wouldn’t do it

It’s the truth. He’s been carried by a #1 defenseman in Muzzin the past 2 years. Now Muzzin fell off a cliff and Holl doesn’t even look like an NHL caliber D.

I'm talking about the post you had initially posted. I totally agree with what you said, but the post that said "the leafs aren't trading for a healthy scratch on a bad team" was the one I was talking about

It's easy to improve a team when you trade unwanted players for good ones.

Lindholm is worth more than Muzzin and your 2022 first, never mind it being a future first.

Lundestrom is worth more than Ritchie and the two AHLers.

And FYI, Beauvillier is worth a lot more than Holl and your 2022 first.

yeah the guy can't make the islanders and all of a sudden he's a first liner on a top team in the league.

tbf he’s been really bad lately and a scratch last night but historically has been a far better player and would def be a top six LW on the leafs. don’t think the islanders trade him at his lowest value rn for an RD which they don’t even need.

He would be the best lw on the leafs and it isn’t close. Unfortunately for the islanders, they have the worst coach in the league who has no idea what he’s doing

In your opinon what does it take for Leafs to acquire Lindholm alone with 50% retention

To begin with, I think Hampus has increased his stock with Anaheim by showing how well he meshes with Jamie Drysdale; it's difficult to imagine how we'd replace him in that particular function. So I think that we'll make every effort to meet his compensation and term requests. That being said, if we are informed by him and his agent that he's just going to test the free-agent market, I would think something along the lines of the David Savard transaction, suitably adjusted, would be in line. Because Savard was seen as beginning 'the back side" of his career (note that he signed his new contract for substantially less than his expiring one, whereas Hampus will almost certainly get substantially MORE than his current deal), and Hampus is considered at the apex of his career, I think that the equivalent of a first, a second and a third is what he would bring. Say your 2022 first, Topi Niemela and maybe Pontus Holmberg or Filip Kral or Kristian Rubins.

That is false, Bunting is carried by Matthews. He’s a good bottom 6 winger playing with a top 3 center. The leafs do not have any top 6 caliber lw
