even-strength points thru first 82 NHL games:

29 - Stamkos
29 - Tavares
29 - Lafreniere

GWGs thru first 82 NHL games:
7 - Lafreniere
5 - Crosby/Hall/Ovechkin/MacKinnon
4 - Ekblad/Kane
3 - Hischier/E.Johnson
2 - Tavares/Yakupov
1 - Stamkos

Rangers say no. Rangers also say no to 50% retained O'Reilly +++ just to give you some kind of prospective of how far your off.

Not at all clear on why they need a shake-up, but this is a horror show. That Parayko trade is the caricature of atrocious, Toronto hasn't even begun to pay for the 28M+ of retention PLUS the Ritchie cap dump AND all the pieces coming back aside are trash aside from the late 1st, which won't help for a couple years.

Thank you. Everyone keeps talking so much crap about the kid, it’s sickening.

if first overall pick was only based on a game-winning goals and even strength point then yea,

too bad it include literally everything else,

also Steven Stamkos in his career gave everybody else a 41 game Head Start as he did nothing in his first 41 games, mostly because he's had no time on the ice in that span

These trades are all unrealistic. Blues would Pittsburgh deal but Pittsburgh says no. That Parayko deal is insane and looks like something a Toronto fan would make...

True, yet they all want to trade for him at the same time. It's all just nonsense.

Thanks for making this argument for me—
Stamkos average TOI his first year - 14:56

Lafreniere so far : 13:35

Now add the whole line.

My point wasn't Lafreniere Sucks but the Rangers can't develop their young players that well.

Look at Stamkos 14:56, in the 1st half of the 08 season, he was probably averaging around 8-9 minutes per night, that's why literally everybody in that half of the season thought Stamkos was a bust, and he almost got traded cause of that. But when they started playing him like 17-18 minutes he was averaging a point-per-game

Your point was that stamkos sucked, and when he was given more ice time he produced. Lafreniere doesn’t suck. He just hasn’t gotten any opportunity. Playing third line minutes and barely on the PP2. Same with Kakko until this season and now you see the confidence on him. Finally got some time with PP1 and scored the game winning goal against Arizona. This isn’t a yakupov situation where laffy is lazy, it’s a situation where he’s not getting the opportunity to showcase his talent. If there was one area I would say he needs work in it is his skating. Rangers definitely struggle to develop young offensive talent, but that’s not on laffy.
