i would like to know more about harry dick, but i also don't want to google harry dick.
Harry Dick was born in the small lakeside town of Port Colborne, ON, on November 22, 1922. He was a gritty defenseman that could score, and it took up until the 1946-47 season before Harry finally got his chance to play in the NHL, with the Chicago Black Hawks at the age of 24. He played 12 games for them, racked up 12 PIM to match, and collected a single assist on the season. Then he went back to playing in the USHL and AHL and never played an NHL game again. For his final three seasons, now in his 30's, Harry played for the WHL's Vancouver Canucks, racking up 94 points in 190 games for the club. In that time he also accumulated 485 PIM, establishing himself as quite the enforcer on the ice. Young hockey players (probably) feared the name Harry Dick, for his playing ability was impressive and his tough reputation was at the forefront of their minds. Sadly, Mr. Dick could not play forever, and he retired at the end of the 1954-55 WHL season. He lived a long and (hopefully) fulfilling life until passing away on December 1, 2002 at the age of 80. That, my friend, is the story of Harry Dick.
