Tavares is probably not available.
I am willing to trade pretty much any D-Man we have.
Andrew ladd, i would be very open to trading.
Ryan Strome is available, but only if i get enough for him.
I am shopping Nikolay Kulemin.
Brock Nelson is not really available.

I'll take the Bruins. I really can't do anything yet though until the season ends. If we make the playoffs I think we'll make minor moves, but if we fail to make the playoffs I think either Krejci or Bergeron is moved.... we just can't keep all of our leaders year after year if they have proven to be incompetent enough to miss the playoffs. If we choke again it's going to be a situation where ..... we have the talent, we just don't have the will..... I can still smell that turd of a game against Ottawa last year, what a bunch of weak sissy's. I thought Claude should have been fired after Ottawa, but he might not have been the problem. I believe the problem is that all of our leaders are soft spoken and non-emotional, we needed a guy like Lucic to get our players engaged in the game so they take it extremely seriously. Instead we got rid of Lucic who was our only vocal leader, now we have like freakin soft europeans and french canadians leading the way. As I said i'll take the bruins, but I can't really do much until the team decides their fate by either qualifying for the playoffs or failing to meet expectations, which would result in some major changes.

Now a quick question: what is your offer for Nikolay Kulemin?

Now a quick question: what is your offer for Nikolay Kulemin?
Probably something like Jimmy Hayes straight up if you retain 50% of Kulemin's salary. Basically we don't need Kulemin and we feel he's overpaid. Maybe you could pry Matt Beleskey away from us for him, but that'd be the absolute most and I'd only really do it because Beleskey has 3 more years left on his deal and Kulemin only has 1. They make about the same amount of money and both underachieved this year. I see Kulemin with negative value so the most I'd offer is one of our guys with negative value / no value. Maybe if you retain 50% and add a decent prospect I'd trade you Adam McQuaid. He could be a really good #6 RHD for your team and I don't think my team really needs both him and Kevan Miller. However if I made the trade and then Vegas took Kevan Miller, I'd be kinda screwed unless Charlie McAvoy was ready next season. I guess to summarize it, we really aren't interested in your lower class players unless they are young and getting better.

Yeah, maybe Hayes. I was thinking more a draft pick/draft picks. Hmmm ... i think i'll wait until some more people join this game, and see what their offers are.
Also, the bruins need defence. Any offers on defensemen?

We don't really need a defenseman unless we're shipping one out. We have 7 top 6 defenseman or maybe 8. The problem is we don't have enough real impact defenseman, but neither do you. Only Leddy Hamonic and Boychuk seem like real top 4 defenseman. We wouldn't want Boychuk back given his contract, Leddy is kinda overrated and Garth Snow wants way too much for Hamonic. He wanted Trouba straight up for him a year ago, that's just crazy. I guess I could kick the tires on De Haan, but I'd have to know what he wants for a contract extension and I'd have to know who Vegas drafted from my team to come up with the compensation that I'd be willing to give for him. Most likely you'd be getting back either Adam McQuaid or Kevan Miller as part of the package, but I think that would help you because they both seem like an upgrade on your 3rd RHD Scott Mayfield.

I'd rather have Hamonic than Trouba. Also, yeah, Leddy is overrated in my opinion. I also think Boychuk is. But i think Hickey is underrated, and i see him as a top 4 D-Man. The bruins have Krug, Carlo, Chara, Miller, etc. You don't need to make an offer, but in this game, i'm the GM of NYI, not Garth Snow. So i'm willing to give up someone like Boychuk, Pelech, etc. Pretty much any NYI D-Men are available in this game.

As I said I'd kick the tires on De Haan, but you have to tell me what he's asking for in terms of contract. If he wants like 6 years at 5 Million a year I'd be like hell no I'll look elsewhere. But if he's like I'll take 3 years at 2.5 Million I'd think he'd be a small upgrade over Kevan Miller or Adam McQuaid and the money would work and I have a ton of prospects so i can put a cherry on top that would make the deal more fair. I think Pelech or Mayfield or Hickey would be a lateral move compared to Collin Miller. Their basically the same Caliber player imo, but De Haan would be the guy I'm looking at.

Wait, so do you want to make an offer on him or should i make an asking price? If you make an offer, i think i'll wait until more people join before making a decision, just to see what some other offers are.

Well first of all, what do you expect to sign him at if he stays with the team? If he wants big money I really don't want him anyways.
To get this game going I think we're going to need you to do some Advertising in the Armchair section. There's just no traffic in this section, I'm only here because I have 2 Infraction points so I'm stuck on this forum.

By Advertise I mean "make a Armchair GM mock and in the description write: I'm also doing a GM game in the NHL Forum section if you want to do trades with real people please join and claim a team" You know, that way your not making a big deal about it which may upset the forum moderators, but your slipping it into a legit mock that you make. Pretty sure they wouldn't have a problem with that but you could ask under site discussion. I think the principle point they'd make would be that you need to make a Legit Mock team every time and it can't be the same thing over and over or it would be considered trolling. Just casually slip it into your mocks that you make after you ask them if it's okay.
That's really the only way anyone will come do this game. You started it Thursday and it's now Sunday. You've only acquired one GM in that time. At that rate if would take nearly 100 more days to fill this, and that's being generous given no-one else really replys in this section.

Ok, they said i'm allowed to do that, and they say that i can make one on the islanders to track the trades and signings that i've made. You might want to make one on the bruins and post a link to it.
Another quick question: Does anyone like this idea of making this as if it's a world without a salary cap? Because i like that idea.
I like it better with the Salary cap, you know so it's realistic instead of just fake stuff. Kinda give yourself a chance to be a real GM instead of your current GM and have the Cap to worry about and contracts and term and everything. I don't think I'd do it if theres no cap because then it just turns into fake stuff and players who have no value turn into good assets. It wouldn't matter if you had spent 15 million on players for your 4th line if the cap wasn't in play and that's just unrealistic and totally fake.

Okay, but the islanders and bruins have almost no cap space, and i think it might make sense if people are making real trades instead of getting rid of salary trades.

Ok then, we can have cap, but do you think we could increase the salary cap?

Yeah we should play that the players association uses the escalator which moves it up 3 million I think. I think that's what happens, not totally sure but I read somewhere that there was a good chance that was going to happen and the cap increases about 3 million dollars. That would allow people to make more maneuvers to better their team.

Ok. Do you think you could make an armchair-gm team on the moves you've made?
