GM Game Master Thread

OK. Here's a game that people can play if they want where people can pretend to be the GM of a team, and we can make trades and stuff as if it's the offseason (no vegas expansion trades until we get closer to the expansion draft, though you may talk about those trades). You may ask for a team, and i will give you that team if it isn't already taken. My favourite teams are the Rangers and Islanders tied, so i'll be the Islanders. Each person may only be the GM of one team.

Clendening is like, a 7th or 8th defenseman. Girardi and Klein are top 4 guys i'd say.


I'm not saying Clendo is top 4 but he's definitely a top 6 guy that can be moved up and down the lineup as needed. Girardi and Klein have been declining for a while now. What helped Klein was his (lucky) offensive outburst the past few seasons.

I'd say you don't make the playoffs w/ Girardi as your top 4

I wouldn't call giving up countless shots against per game defense. Girardi leaks shots whenever he is on the ice

Tough question.
Might have a little something to do with being almost a point per game player from the blue line and pretty much carrying a sub-par Ottawa team to success on a fairly regular basis.

Tough question.
Might have a little something to do with being almost a point per game player from the blue line and pretty much carrying a sub-par Ottawa team to success on a fairly regular basis.

Yeah, but he shouldn't have won it in 2015, and maybe not in 2012 either. Not saying Girardi is better, i'm just saying that shot blocks, i think, tell a little bit, but not everything.

Well even though LAK missed the playoffs in 15 i think Doughty should have won the norris ... he was just that good.
