rangersandislesfan I'll comment on the trade here in this thread. One, I don't really understand what you meant by "two trades". Two, Jones is a super high end defenseman. His contract at only 5.4 million for next 5 years is incredible value. That costs a lot to obtain.

Brent Burns is probably going to win the norris.
And i mean, to make a 3 way trade, you need 2 trades. For example:
Let's say St. Louis, Vancouver, and Nashville made a trade like this for example:
STL gets
Chris Tanev
NSH gets
Jay Bouwmeester
VAN gets
James Neal
So for example, Vancouver trades Tanev to the predators for James Neal, then NSH trades Tanev to the blues for Jay Bouwmeester. So can you tell me about what the 2 trades were?

The two trades were:
San Jose sends Brent Burns and Timo Meier to Vancouver for Patric Hornqvist, Brock Boeser, and 2017 Vancouver 1st.
San Jose then sends Justin Braun, Dylan DeMelo, Hornqvist, Boeser, and the Vancouver 1st for Seth Jones and Columbus 1st rounder.
Of note, we based the deal mostly as a circle of trying to make sure each side got solid value for what they wanted. Wasn't planned out as two separate trades.

Attention all: Wennberg is going to be moved by tomorrow at noon unless I get some good offers. If you're interested in Wennberg give me an offer and I'll listen.

De-Haan, Wotherspoon, Toews, and 2 2nds? Okay, i know that'll never get me Wennberg.

Just a PSA, I'm seriously considering offers for Erik Karlsson (Ottawa's, not yours Ricochetii). Looking for a return similar to what Columbus got for Jones. Also looking to dump either Phaneuf or Ryan and willing to take another bad contract back to make it work.

On that note, I have a much cheaper Karlsson available.
I'm just kidding. He's not cheaper.

Maybe after the expansion draft. I think Karlsson is a good player, but i'm not so sure i think he's as good as some think he is. What doesn't make sense to me is why San Jose gave up more than Brent Burns to get Seth Jones. So if it'll cost me Hamonic, both my 1st rounders this year, Dal-Colle, Barzal, and Bellows, then no, i don't want Erik Karlsson.
The LA Kings have started shopping Jonathan Quick. Would need a solid starting goalie in return, good young forward, and maybe a pick.
Tanner Pearson is also still on the block
Don't forget the Bruins offer for Pearson. We may be able to ratchet it up a very slight notch. Don't make a trade without consulting us. We'd like to give you fair value for Pearson and think Spooner would be the Center equivalent. Perhaps we could just drop that 1st round pick and Vatrano from the deal and give you the chippy european 4th liner Anton Blidh along with Spooner. That would give you a 4th line LW so the hole you create at 2nd line LW would be filled by your current 3rd LW and the 4th LW goes for 3rd LW and Blidh goes to 4th LW. Everyone moves up and fills the system so there wouldn't be a hole created. That's about the best we could do.
