In terms of value to the team, OTT says no to the TOR deal. Batherson will be well worth that contract in no time, if he isn't already. Ritchie has minimal value, if any, and OTT already has an expensive goalie that they aren't even playing. Amirov is still an unknown at this point and that first round pick will be a late one.

Also not sure what was meant by Dallas' pick.

That Batherson deal is so bad I can't wrap my head around it. Anyone who actually watches Drake Batherson, then looked at his contract would understand that he's very obviously not a trade piece under any circumstances. To put in into context for Leafs fans who aren't paying attention, Drake Batherson is out scoring and out producing Mitch Marner in four fewer games, and he makes 4.95mil.
