Ritchie is negative trade value and Amirov doesnt get you Domi (with retained cap) and a 3rd in return

Jackets will want a first rounder in the return for domi. With the way he is playing, theyd probably rather just try and get him to resign if it looks possible than go for that.

I know, but I think they'd pursue one in this coming draft. I'd assume they'd pursue a center or defenseman with the capital. Also, ritchie is negative value for them and theyre adding a 3rd on top so thats not really a 1st of value in return for domi.

A former 1st round pick does not equal a future 1st.

Domi with retention and dumping Ritchie’s $3.3M salary would be a 1st+. Whether that “+” is Amirov depends on how high TML is on his stock.

Not expecting a Severson trade anytime soon.
But if we did, we'd want one young RD back from Leafs. Liljegren, Niemela, or Villeneuve.
(or a sniper, if there is one available).
Don't care as much about picks or Holl-types.
