habbies lots of trades

Created by: PeterStone
Team: 2021-22 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 15, 2021
Published: Dec. 15, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
1- Habs want to reduce cap hits. Dont see a Price trade with retention, so dont see a Price trade
2- I hate the way Drouin plays (always did) . He has 0 value today, will be moved at TDL 2023
3- One of Toffoli or Hoffman has to go. Toffoli = Hoffman = Drouin = Caufield. Too many of the same player. I suspect Toffoli has the greatest value, and there will be 0$ cap retention but i would move Hoffman
4- Lehkonen is a solid 3rd/4th liner , PK guy. Should fetch 2nd or 3rd on expiring RFA deal. See a fit in Edm or FLA or WSH. If habs can package with a pick or other player, maybe a 1st or A- prospect. (Not named R. Lavoie)
6- Pezzetta to Pittsburgh .... 4th line energy guy to take Rheaves off the ice for 5 mins in Playoffs (dont see it happening because Rheaves doesnt play in playoffs)

We aren’t gonna be the team to make a crap deal for him. Go find another team to take advantage of.

Doesn’t change your absurd overvalue of your players. I stand by my point the Rangers shouldn’t waste assets on Chiarot.

absurd overvalue of "my" players. ... you are quite entertaining. You think you're really a GM

most are draft picks, which if you knew anything about the sport usually end up worth nothing.
David Savard , who is MUCH WORSE than Chariot fetched a 1st and 3rd last season
Chariot, if you watch playoff hockey, is actually a PERFECT FIT for a team wanting to make a run in the playoffs. He makes a great first pass, is an excellent PK guy, and adds toughness and physicality , which is cranked up during the playoffs. Even Reaves, who doesnt play in the playoffs fetched a 3rd ..

If NYR are smart, and I suspect they are, they GLADLY give up a 1st ( which will be in the late teens as far as 32nd) and 3rd for Chariot and push for a cup run because they actually have a really good team.

The problem is the Rangers are not contenders, hence no reason to start throwing away picks. They’ve struggled against teams that are decent and likely to struggle if they make it. I don’t think they should spend any assets on this year since they are no where near legitimate cup contenders. Still not a fan of Chiarot who I believe is overrated. I don’t see the Rangers as a fit because of their timeline. They are not one piece away from a cup. They’re far from it. Trading 1sts now just takes us back to the 4 years we spent 1sts in a bid to win in the 2010’s that was short of a cup. I’d prefer not to start that trend again so early.

ABSURD OVRRVALUE ....
I said KULAK for a 2nd ... bam
Chariot for a 1st , 3rd and Gauthier ... went for an UNPROTECTED 1st , Smilanic(3rd rd pick) and 4th ....

i also UNDERESTIMATED Lehkonen value ... went for ALOT MORE

Try watching a game , you might learn something

You might think he's hot garbage, but so was your comment that " I had an ABSURD OVERVALUE OF "MY" players" . Seems "MY" value was BANG ON. But you can keep defending your dumb takes all you want ... since you already demonstrated you have no clue what you are talking about. cheers
