We are witnessing one of the greatest coaching jobs performed in the NHL for a long-time in helping to turn around players performance.

Debrusk doesn't cost that much. Dickinson or the 3rd alone could get him

I don’t think we should be calling him BBQ Bruce, because he has eczema and a lot of people misinterpret that for barbecue sauce, but yes, even McDavid wants to play for Bruce Boudreau.

he would definitely cost dickinson+3rd doesn't matter anyways bruins decline

dickinson has 2 20 point years debrusk has had almost 3 20 goal years lol.
debrusk's worst year is almost comparable to dickinson's best.
debrusk has been getting good defensively aswell not to mention hes faster and maybe slightly less physical also younger.

he also has almost 3 times as many points in 4 less games then dickson now and they are literally playing almost the same amount of minutes with the same level of talent.
bruins won't be selling cheap on debrusk i can tell you that much

Maybe not, but I don't care about past stats, I'm focused on the type of player that Debrusk will be going forward, and I'm not sure sure how confident I am about his point production getting back to the level it was at 2-3 seasons ago

Is it really a great coaching job or is it that the players just stopped listening to Green? Also, it's not uncommon for new coaches to bring in great energy immediately. Heck even the Blues with Mike Yeo of all people did well that first year just to crap the bed the next. Boudreau is great at letting players do what they do best which is allowing them to use their skill. The issue is his strategy isn't a winning one in playoffs.

His track record is undeniable, but you don't suppose there is any chance that Boudreau could finally get over the playoff hump this time around do you? I will admit that I'll be surprised if he does even as a Canucks fan, simply because I don't have any expectations that the current Canucks roster would make a deep playoff run

No, I don't think Vancouver has the defensive depth to pull it off. Again, given Boudreau's strategy which lacks defensive structure, I dont foresee them winning in the playoffs.

Probably not, but I think that could change by the trade deadline perhaps

They desperately need a top 4 RHD. No offense to Poolman or Hamonic, but they're not that guy and Myers shouldn't be a top pairing guy. So they need a top pairing RD mostly. Not sure where one is available at the moment

Oh for sure, they have every excuse to be buyers at this seasons trade deadline if they can be in the playoff race by the end of January. I've brainstormed some guys who can potentially fill that role who might be available and they are:

Artem Zub
Connor Murphy
David Savard
Adam Larsson (although he has a NTC)
Jamie Oleksiak (Debatable whether or not he's a top 4 caliber D-man, but he's big)
Matt Roy

Those are Right-side D-men who are playing on teams who aren't likely to make the playoffs this season, so there are a few options on the market maybe that the Canucks could entertain a trade for without giving up too much in return I would think

Of all of those mentioned, Zub seems to be the most realistic target given contract size, but is he really a top 4 defenseman on a contending team is the question? I'm of the mindset they should see what Woo can do at the NHL level.

Same here, it's just that Zub seems look too good an opportunity to pass up seeing that Ottawa is still a ways a way from being really competitive, and Zub's contract of course walks him right to unrestricted free agency. Maybe Sens fans are blowing his value out of proportion, but my gut just tells me that he is good enough to be a top 4 D-man on a good team as well. Just seems like a real good fit. There is also John Marino in Pittsburgh who I forgot to mention, as Hextall and Burky supposedly don't seem to value him as much as Rutherford does

Petry is coming off his best season. He's struggled this year and MTL is not in a good position to request a lot. Might be good.

Might have to send Myers the other way in that case, but I'm strangely hesitant to move Myers right now because he has really stepped up his game since the coaching change and is actually playing quite well

Marino could be a good choice but Pittsburgh doesn't have a ton on the right side. I dont think Zub is a top 4 on a contending team.

Cap would have to be cleared. Unfortunately Hamonic was moved to LTIR so his doesn't even count now.
