Wanted to leave top 6 the same bc Matthews can literally play with anyone and play so well. And 2nd line is working. Thought back to the HBK line and thought maybe we could just roll 3 sick lines. 4th line is pure defensive, takes D zone starts and can match up against top 6 lines.

yes i know it's pretty unrealistic for them to add a top 6 F and a young top D, and have so many teams retain. but this would be sick

See, you say all in but I’m not sure even one of those trades gets accepted let alone all of them.

trades typically get so overvalued on this site. Eichel got Tuch, a top forward prospect, and a 1st. Leafs give a tandem goalie, a top forward prospect, and a first for Chychrun. Say what you will but I bet the price won't end up being much higher if they move him. For Hertl, you're giving a roster player, a 2021 second rounder (Knies), a good young D (ceiling probably 3rd pair, currently like an 8/9), and a 1st. All for a rental. Again, rentals don't usually go for THAT much more. Paul is a fine bottom 6 player, as a rental won't go for more, Wedgewood is a UFA backup on a bad team that will have just acquired Mrazek, they could easily move on from him. Ritchie idk if it works tbh, but I feel like at least one team in the league will take him

Mrazek has no value, and I’m sure the yotes want more. For Hertl I like Knies and the first. Holl is not good, literally an article out today about how he is broken, and the other guy who at best is a 3rd pair LD which the sharks don’t need at best case scenario. Ottawa, well it’s Ottawa I guess nobody knows about them. And I think Detroit would ask for a 3rd to take on Ritchie.

Nick Paul with retention costs an early 2nd or the equivalent.

You're offering a division rival a late 3rd that can't be used until 2024.

Try again.

Ritchie isn't very good he doesn't improve Detroit at all I'd say save your 5th rd pick.

Red Wings don't need Thick Nick Ritchie. Yzerman likes players who are in shape.

I agree that people over value on trades here but I do think you’ve undervalued Chychrun. He’s one of the top young defenders in the league with 3.5yrs left under contract. I doubt a late first and 2 B tier prospects would get it going, you’ve got to imagine another team would top that.

Why does everyone want Paul? He's a career minus 29 and has only once had a plus season. Does he stickup for his teammates? Does he bang bodies every shift?

I mean in that light I think that sens fans overrate the return he'll get. He's career minus but he's also on Ottawa. Just a good reliable bottom 6er.
