I don’t think Holland would agree that kass and kosk are cap dumps so this conversation isn’t going to go very far.
Cap dumps is a term that has gotten heavily out of hand over the past year just because a player isn’t performing up to contract standards doesn’t immediately mean they are of negative value. Look no further than Keith trade hawks still got a positive return for a guy not worth 1/3 of his cap hit.

Kassian is way overpaid for what he's bringing to the ice, I don't see the value behind his cap hit, age, term, and what he's doing on the ice.

Kos your point is valid in some ways, but it's still clearing cap to bring in a better player and thus player has no value to the hawks so in the context of the trade it is by definition dumping cap.

I do think both Toews and Flowers bring a significant amount of value to the Oilers should they determine they are going to compete for the cup. It's hard not to place high value Toews, maybe one of the if not the best captain in the league, and Flowers one of the if not the best locker room guy both winning 3 cups to the table. Toews might not have the offensive production he used to but his defense is still extremely good, still tough on the puck and still a top face off guy. Flowers is back to form being a top 5 goalie in the league. Those are huge assets if indeed the Oilers want to go all in to chase a cup.

No, for 100% of the analysts and most fans in the know. Dump comment to say a team wouldn't take Toews for free, just uneducated.

Does flower make a lot of sense for Edmonton? Even at 50% retention costs similar to kosk and the only reason Edmonton really has to move on from Kosk Is to save money for another area. Reality is when smith is healthy he’s going to be the go to option. Long history with the coach and he’s better at clearing the zone than half the D on the team.
Toews I personally don’t see any value in for Edmonton other than he’s experienced but as we have seen with Keith cup winning experience is nice and all but if your 5-10 years past that level of play then what is it he brings to the ice on a nightly basis that actually makes a difference? Where’s he going to play? 3c kinda a limited role that holloway could very well be better suited for.

Flowers is hands down a better goalie then Kos, exponentially in the playoffs. You might have an argument for Smith but not Kos and it's frankly not close. A tandem of Smith and Flowers would be one of the best if not THE best tandem in the net.

I just shared what he brings on the ice. He's still a top 10 defensive center in the league, top 10 at the dot, tough on the puck, and one of ...if not THE...best captain in the league. Also, keep in mind prior to his Covid long-haul issues, he was still playing at a top level. He's looking better and better which is not surprising it will take him 1/3rd to 1/2 a season to get back to form after being in bed for a year basically. This would allow LD to play with McDavid again making it hands down the best forward line in hockey, and have Toews centering the 2nd line as an option and Toews in the playoffs is better then Holloway and that should not even be debatable.

This idea is all under the premise the Oilers are going all in. If they are in a position at the deadline to do so, trading away a late first is nothing more then a bag of magic beans, and Holloway who while played well in Wisconsin is hardly a shoe-in to be a top 6 center in the league since he has proven nothing on NHL ice, is worth the price if it brings home a cup. I would even go as far as to say remove the 3rd going back and include De Haan to bolster the left defense who's been playing really well this year in a shut-down role. De Haan, Flowers, Toews gives the Oilers a much better chance then holding on to Kos, Kassian, Holloway and a late 1st
