Kings and Oilers aren’t that far apart in points. The Kings aren’t moving Brown (18 seasons as aKing) and Quick (currently at 0.935 SV%) when the finally have gotten out of the basement.

Athanasiou and Edler might be out very long term so not sure teams are inquiring on them right now.

The Kings are game for Chyrch (and would give up that) but you basically made the team worse before acquiring him, so wouldn’t they just try and get him in the offseason if they tanked the season?

Doesn’t matter. There has to be at least 1 1st in the deal

If I give you my first this year, I don't give you Durzi, but Spence instead and want a 3rd from you, deal?

I would say Turcotte + Madden + 1st would be the base ask

Um no, Minnesota isn't paying a 2nd round pick, or 3rd round pick or combine for this dude, a bottoming line player nobody wanted either

Minn passes. They have one of the deepest systems and a solid prospect pool. Maybe if it was a 4th they’d consider, but that’s definitely a deal they can do without.

My offer stands: Turcotte; one of Anderson-Dolan, Andersson, Lizotte or Walker; one of Faber or Grans (or Spence), and our 2022 first-round draft pick.

Turcotte, Clarke and a 1st alone is a much better return than Jack Eichel got. Clarke is off the table, as is Byfield.

I agree with what OldNYIfan has proposed.

Turcotte or Vilardi
One of JAD, Andersson, Moore, Lizotte
One of Grans or Faber
2022 first (lottery protected).

That package has a top-6 center prospect, a top-4 D prospect, and an NHL-ready role player, along with what should be a pick in the teens in a good draft. That's a huge haul and arguably equal to the Eichel haul as well. And it works for LA because it trades from their positions of strength in their prospect pool.

I also think it will include a guy like Maatta to make money work, who is a serviceable 3rd pair defender in the short term for Arizona.

Grans will be the one to go imo. Not faber

I don't really mind either going. I have high hopes for both of them, and really like each of their games. But if Arizona is set on Faber over Grans, I'm not going to be too distraught over it. We have Doughty, Roy, Walker, Clarke, Grans, Faber, and Spence all on the RD. Doughty and Clarke are untouchables, so we only need one more. I can work with whichever the Yotes don't want.

I did not include the 1st. Turcotte and Clarke would be a good (potential great) return. Probably need to add a D that can play now and to make money work. I would want more and LA would want to give less.

Oh, gotcha. My bad for misunderstanding. Regardless, like I said, Clarke is off the table. Talks don't continue if ARZ wants both Turcotte and Clarke.
