Robertson isn't a good enough prospect to be the centerpiece of this deal.

It would make sense for Sandin to be involved since he will be blocked by Chychrun and Rielly

like every team in the league? Very little value was offered here for an elite 23 year old defenseman

Not sure how a first, a 1st round level prospect, a second line left wing, a second, and a 3rd is very little.

Could get topped but it's a pretty decent offer, I think.

By at least 5 to six teams. Teams with better prospects and higher draft picks.

New Jersey
Rangers
Wings
LA Kings
Anahiem

No was these teams might or might not make a deal, but they have the cap, prospects and picks to make a better offer without sending cap, like Kerfoot back.

Fair enough.

Not sure why the coyotes would turn down a free Kerfoot though...

You are definitely overvaluing your stuff here.
- 1st is really late
- Robertson hype train has definitely fallen off a lot
- Kerfoot has almost zero value to a scorched earth team. He's also a fringe 2nd line LW, more of a middle sixer
- a 2nd, again very late
- a 3rd is well a 3rd

I personally (if Calgary was in need of LD) would have little issue offering Coronato, 2022 1st, Kylington (extended)/Zary, and some more mid picks for Chychrun. He is that good

Think you are over rating Chychrun, but I agree you offer easily trumps the above offer.

I consider Chychrun to be 1 tier below Makar, Fox, and McAvoy. Maybe I'm overrating him, maybe not. He's still so young and on an incredible contract for what he is right now

No way the Leafs should be thinking about adding Chychum. Leafs need to spend their limited cap in other areas besides LHDs. Leafs need inexpensive NHLers the way their roster is constructed and that would include Robertson and those picks and probably even Holl. And thinking of 22/23 cap situation with Reilly getting a 2.5m raise, this roster really doesn't work.

Chychrun is great, don't get me wrong, but he has not been good this seasom at all and so far has really only had his one really good season. He's still young has has tons of potential but he's still not anywhere close to Makar, Fox, or McAvoy in my opinion.

Chychrun has been bad production wise this season but like Tkachuk the last few years in Ottawa he has had legitimate 1st line to play with. Schmaltz was on LTIR until recently. Before then Boyd, Ladd, Beagle, Eriksson, and Rousell were all constant members of the teams top 6. Ghost has been producing but he also isn't being deployed in a shutdown role the same way as Chychrun.

Chychrun has also been good for a few seasons now. He has a really solid defensive game and is a great puck mover. It wasn't just last year, thats more the Arizona effect where people don't really pay attention to them, as well as Tocchett's weird system

The leafs giving Muzzin, Brodie and Rielly all NTC or NMC was just foolishness. Now if they do upgrade in the top 4 Holl is the only guy they can move. So that wastes Sandin and Liljgren on the 3rd pairing, which both are going to be very good d-men for the leafs future.

Except Calgary is t cap complient in this scenario try again chief. Robertson is more valuable than Zary isn’t this amazing prospect flames fans love to sell him as

Kylington 100% has more value than all 4 of them. Zary > Robertson easily. I also said Kylington or Zary, not both.

Calgary has 3.5M TDL cap space and can just add something like Pitlick if they need to. I was also just giving an example, like if Edmonton offers Broberg + Holloway + 1st and Toronto could never come remotely close to beating that
