Every team says "No," and some say "Are you kidding?!?" The Calgary trade in particular is wildly unfair, and the Colorado trade is almost as egregious.

There has been a rash of Habs-fans-created ACGMs recently featuring a Petry-to-Calgary deal. I don't see why -- Calgary is tied with Carolina for fewest goals against in the entire league (although the Hurricanes have played one more game) by a significant margin, so why would the Flames need an old, expensive, underperforming defenseman?

Chiarot even if the Avs wanted him would be the 6th dman and Allen the 3rd goalie. Tell me on what planet any team trades a 1st one of their most valuable bottom 6 pkers that’s cost controlled and a top d prospect for that?
