I'd make some changes to how you have the roster constructed.

But overall there's a lot to like with this team. It likely isn't a contender yet, but has the potential to get real good, real fast.

I just struggle to see where guys like ****emo, JAD, Thomas, Madden etc will fit. There’s just no space for them

With the current roster you have, I personally replace Lizotte with JAD. Lizzy's been good, I just see more upside in JAD. I think it's his time to take that 4C spot. The other three (****emo, Madden, Thomas), aren't quite ready for the NHL yet, in my opinion. And really, it's a bummer to see Kupari on the 4th line. He's got much more upside than that, I just don't know how they get him into the top-6.

On the back end, I keep Anderson with Doughty, and put Chychrun with Roy. Doughty and Chychrun are both alpha offensive defenseman. Put them together in late game situations, but I think they get in each other's way if playing all game together. And that allows two extremely good pairs of a stay-at-home defenseman and an offensive defenseman to always be on the ice. The "#1 pair" would be whichever is playing better in that game.

What’s going on with Vilardi? Might be time to trade him and move up Kupari

That's a good question. I'm really not thrilled with how they're handling him. TMac was upset with how he played to start the season and gave him the bench. Then he got C-19 and that was reason enough to send him down.

It looks like they're trying to transition him to wing, which is where you've got him here. The eyeball test shows he's got top-6 skills, but TMac hasn't let him out of the doghouse to give him a shot there. Instead, he played the season with 4th line wingers to start and didn't succeed with them (surprise... not). He's played relatively well down in Ontario, but is still adjusting as a wing.

We can't trade Trevor Moore -- he's from Thousand Oaks. That's why we got him from Toronto in the first place.
