So Foligno pays for a NMC then decides ehh I'll waive to Jersey where they have almost zero chance at the playoffs? Is that what you're saying?

Even if Boston would do this, Foligno wouldn't waive for this. He chose Boston over other contenders or returning to the Jackets so his daughter could be near Boston Children's hospital.

bruins D hurting? zboril is the only one out for the year. pretty sure bruins can get a cheap depth dman or just simply trade for better without having to trade roster players.

he wouldnt waive because new jersey sucks, he chose boston because they were a contender and boston hospital saved his daughters life in 2018, nothing to do with currently being close to it

“Boston has a very special place in our heart because of that. I think it was – my wife said, serendipitous in a way, of coming back to a place that gave us a chance to be a family in the first place,” Foligno said. “We’re really looking forward to that bond that was created. We love the doctors and the people in that hospital. We’re looking forward to playing in front of them, having them cheer us on. I think they were secretly cheering me on from afar, but now they’ll really have a reason to cheer from me, which will be great. And probably even more so to see how well Milana is doing for them, to see her on a more day-to-day basis, will be really special. We’re pretty excited about being back in Boston for that reason.”

I know that the second surgery was a few years ago but I am sure that being near the doctors that did it for check ups is still important. Obviously NJ being bad would be reason to not waive. The reason he has the clause though is different

Even with the news of zboril out for the year, doubt the bruins have any interest in subban.
