Nice ideas, but I dont think Pouln has the value you think he does. I dont see MTL gets involved in that trade? They get far more individually from somebody else

And the 2nd to ANA is nice, but I cant see the 2nd and Zucker getting Manson and retention, just probably not the player/return theyre interested in.

Absolutely — Anaheim has zero interest in Zucker

i agree on the habs deal, although i dont think its that far off, Chiarot retained will hopefully bring a last 1st, armia probably not bringing a whole lot though so i would say at most pittsburgh adds a 2nd to that deal and its done. Poulin still has a lot of upside.

Anaheim deal is a no go from the start though they will be able to get a better, younger, package for sure.

Oh yeah definitely, I think Armia has some value, but I dont think Poulin alone gets Chiarot and retention, but a PITT 2nd in 2022 is maybe enough.

But Armia is not a throw in to that.

i would agree with you if it wasnt for his cap hit, 3 more years at 3.4 is not a great deal for the team. Thats the only reason why i dont see him bringing much value. I think Poulin and a second gets you Chiarot and mtl adds armia to dump salary (although pens would need the other deals to create that cap space) Habs are going to be looking to get out of some of these longer contracts and if this deal was presented to them i think it would be strongly considered.

Armia is producing at Dom Simon rates. That contract is crap. Chiarot isn't needed, just keep Pettersson. Kessel doesn't have the same impact he once did. Nostalgia is driving that deal. The Anaheim deal doesn't really make sense for either team. A 2nd pick for a 3rd D isn't great, plus you trade Zucker who is better than Armia.
