Love the Lindholm signing, I've been signing him in my Detroit AC-GM's as well. I also like having the 2 Prague boys together in Vrana & Hertl! I do think the Hertl signing is a little unlikely but would be thrilled if it happened.

I like the idea of singing Lindholm but he will want more than 3yrs. Now Hertl is the player I really think they should target and is necessary overpay to get. If they do get Hertl then I think that makes Suter or Veleno expendable.

I wasn't sure on term for him, considering he's still relatively young but might want to Detroit prove we can contend during his stay. So, term can certainly change on that one!

It's the Czeching line with Zadina, Hertl, and Vrana!

Lindholm checks alot of the boxes here but your right hes gonna be what 28 as a ufa hes going to want long term security. I think 5 years is a minimum to sign him.

Can't see lindholm not signing long term somewhere. Id think 5 or 6 years atleast. Hronel, lindholm, Edvinsson Seider top 4 seems fun

I think it's too early to give up on Suter. He's only just now getting the hang of the team and is getting better and better. He's been hampered by playing with Fabbri and Zadina most of the time and there's no true playmaker on that line, they're all three shooters. Playing Suter with someone like Berggren could make wonders for his production. That could free up Fabbri for a trade, he's the worst of all regular forwards when it comes to playing defense.

Oh, I 100% agree with you. Only reason I moved Suter instead of Fabbri was because he just signed that $4M contract (that I don't think he's worth by any means). I just figured, based on that, moving Fabbri probably/unfortunately wasn't realistic.

I like Lindholm as well but there's going to be a LOT of teams interested in him. Plus, it's not like Anaheim has cap issues that would prevent them from making an attractive offer. Not saying he wouldn't leave, but I think it'd be expensive to lure him away. Do like the Hertl idea though. Also wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the Detroit took a run at Copp

I’d give Lindholm 7x7 as I think he’d be a great mentor and plays a solid 2 way style I like. Having a surplus of defensemen is never a bad thing, let’s say the top guys hit you can always move a guy like Hronek for a good haul and have Wallinder in that 2RD spot (he plays both sides). For Hertl, I’m a big fan of his but it depends on the cost because Larkin’s contract and planning for Seider/Raymond’s next contract. We have the cap to be competitive on both of them and another option may be Trocheck/Copp.

I agree with you both!

I like Copp or Trocheck in that 2C spot also. I just think Hertl has a better shot of going to FA than those two, and probably has the higher ceiling. It doesn't hurt that he's Czechoslovakian either lol

I think the Fabbri signing makes him more valuable in a trade, not less. There will be more teams interested in a cost controlled player with a few years left on the contract than as a rental.

Then if I could move Fabbri, the 3rd line would look great as Ras - Suter - Berggren. Very dangerous!
