No Chychrun basically confirmed by Friedman. Big mistake not trying to add him. Why try to add more elite players right?

Anyway here's a prediction based on Bob's tweet.

Difficult to imagine Columbus taking on Koskinen, unless they are throwing in the towel or have some other deal that moves Korpisalo out. I'm also not sold on RNH as the 3C, although he might turn out to be a nice on-ice presence for Holloway.

If Koskinen is moved, and thats a big if, its not because the team acquiring him NEEDS him.

Right. And as we don’t need him, he is of negative value to us. Therefore making this package even more insufficient. A first and a better prospect along with koskonen for a domi at half retained would be our counter proposal.

Maybe they're not looking to acquire Chychrun because he is of great value and not because they don't think he'd help the team. Everyone on here seems to think their team can just fleece Arizona with a bunch of mid tier players for him. His price is likely more than most teams could afford without absolutely selling the farm/current roster.

If you've seen any of my other threads, you'd see that they are more of an overpay than a flleece of Arizona. which imo the Oilers need to strongly consider.

Or one could look at as, if its the best offer in terms of what assets are coming back, then taking on a contract like Koskinen is the only way the trade could be made.

I don't think you are getting the return you mentioned for Domi. a 2nd and Tullio is a good offer imo. Tullio has been having a great season, in what is essentially his D+1 season.

He’s had a fine season. Not anything noteworthy. He’s a b/ c prospect. On that line. Domi has 15 points in 18 games and can be had for 2.65. He’s worth a first. Then your having us take mk. He’s a dump. That’s worth a decent prospect or a 2nd/3rd to get rid of. So yes your offer is insufficient. We’ll go over to Toronto and get a first for him there.

I’d counter with Domi and Korpi (half retained each), for Koskinen, a 1st, and maybe Bourgault (or any mid-tier EDM prospect). I figure if EDM is dumping a G, might as well get an affordable replacement.

Domi has a 1st value, Korpi is probably about a mid-rounder (Love him or hate him, but there is apparently a decent market for him that includes EDM). Add value of half retention each, and taking on Koskinen, no retention.

Added note, would be willing to talk Bemstrom or Foudy as an add if EDM is willing to add. Young guys, cheap, tons of upside, just getting squeezed out with roster space on CBJ.

I will personally be surprised in CBJ gets a 1st for Domi. They likely dont trade him at all anyway.

I dont think EDM has any interest in Korpisalo. The guys they have now have better numbers. Maybe they had interst in the past, but not now. Also Bourgault wont be moved for a rental. He'd only get moved to bring in a Top 6 fwd under contract or a Top 4 D.
