Dean Evason (and 6 assistant coaches) extended by the Wild. They've gone 62-29-7 since he was named head coach. Not bad.

Nothing official yet but looks like Rask has signed a contract with the Bruins

For anybody who hasn't seen the video from a couple of years ago (you can probably Google it), the Russian officials are so terrified of incurring Putin's wrath that whenever he plays hockey, they literally let him score-no, actually, watch the video. He stumbles his way down the ice, they literally move to the side while halfheartedly extending their arms a bit so that they at least brush his jersey, he goes to the net and lets a weak shot go, the goalie stands statue-still as it goes into the back of the net. Putin goes crazy and celebrates as his officials go over to congratulate him.
(That's what happens when you play hockey with a murderous dictator...)

Probably because among active goalies Rask has the highest career SV % out of anyone. Swayman can be sent down without having to pass through waivers. Although it may not be necessary, if you have the opportunity to upgrade your team, you do it.

I’m just guessing but with Taxi squads back, Swayman can still travel with the team with the Taxi guys. 🤷‍♂️

Why Swayman’s been good I think. 3 goalie rotation don’t really work ( Dallas kinda did that this year but it ended with Khudobin in the minors, 1986 Habs had a 3 goalie rotation and that was extremely weird but they won the cup due to Patrick Roy showing tremendous skill and Steve Penney being injured right before the playoffs )

He definitely has, but Ullmark hasn't been bad either (2.52 GAA, .922 SV%), so they're probably thinking they'll get Swayman more development time while bringing Rask back.

Ullmark has been alright but struggled at the start - and Swayman is still young. It’s evident Boston wants Rask to see some ice - because he is clearly coming in for a cup run. Boston doesn’t want to overload any of the three goalies.

Rask is basically gonna be under load management. I wouldn’t be surprised if he only plays a couple games some months once he’s up and running to just prepare for the playoffs. Ullmark doesn’t have any playoff resume and Swayman isn’t exactly who you want to put a entire cup run on. Boston doesn’t have many assets for trades either. They tryna win a cup asap.

Having 3 goalies gives them their best shot tbh. And one of those guys are hall of fame worthy

IMO, it's the last chance for this group. Bergeron and Marchand aren't getting any younger, Rask might not play in a Bruins sweater again after this season, and they don't have much in the way of talented youth (Pastrnak ,McAvoy and Swayman being notable exceptions). That window's closing fast.

Evgeni Malkin did his first interview in a while today, said he hopes to play a couple of more years preferably with the Pens.
When asked about free agency, Malkin said he's not focused on the money: "I'm like pretty rich guy."
