Minus 20 with the wind chill? That's nothing lol. It's currently minus 35 without the wind chill where I live right now. I wish it was that warm at my house.

That's illegal. Sue the weather.

Oliver Wahlstrom is a healthy scratch today. He has 10 points in his last 8 games and he’s 2nd on the team in scoring behind Barzal.

Has there ever been a young player treated worse than Wahlstrom? I’ve never seen a coach scratch a player after producing at an elite rate.

Apparently Trotz hinted Wahlstrom wasn’t at 100% condition after being on the COVID list. If he’s just a healthy scratch for this game to ensure he’s back into game shape by the 13th, fine, but if he’s healthy scratched after this Trotz is catching these hands

The Blues have an underrated forward core - Kyrou looks like next Ehlers and Thomas has 1C potential

If I could, I would. I much prefer when it's only like minus 10 to minus 20.

Kyrou is seriously underrated, he's got ridiculous scoring ability and seems to be in the middle of every goal the Blues score when he's on the ice

If not for Kyle Connor and the amazingly unappreciated breakout of Ryan Hartman, I might actually call him the most underrated forward in the league

I think that’s being a bit generous to Kyrou and Thomas but yes, the Blues fo have some nice pieces at forward

That reminds me, I have a question for native English speakers.

I was wondering one time when I was creating a custom NHL team in one of those EA's game that it'd be cool to name a team based on cold weather.

Like Miami Heat, but the opposite of that.

The problem is I've got no freaking idea what is the opposite of heat. Like, isn't the opposite of cold, well, warm? Also I don't like the idea of naming my team after an illness, because in real life that kind of name would definitely get chirped because of that so f*cking much.

I've thought about frost and freeze too, but those also sound a bit off, too.

Any ideas?

Blizzard is a good one. Snowfall and ice as well. EDIT: I actually think Snowfall would be good

Frost, Ice are probably the closest you’ll get, there’s not really a direct translation for Heat

Apparently Trotz hinted Wahlstrom wasn’t at 100% condition after being on the COVID list. If he’s just a healthy scratch for this game to ensure he’s back into game shape by the 13th, fine, but if he’s healthy scratched after this Trotz is catching these hands

I don’t see how you can justify scratching someone with his production over his last 10 games. Wahlstrom isn’t a player still trying to adjust to the NHL, he’s already cemented himself as one of the isles best forwards and he has a positive impact in every aspect of the game.

It’s going to be interesting when Palmieri and Nelson are healthy. I would move Parise to the 4th line (the current 4th line is the worst in hockey btw) and scratch Martin.

Trotz worst nightmare:
Wahlstrom: 10 pts in his last 8 games
Bellows: 7 points in his last 7 games
Dobson: 10 points in his last 10 games

I’m more confident in Kyrou being the next Ehlers, over a PPG this season averaging around 16 min. Elite in transition, he as all the tools and production to be a star in the league. Thomas at the very least will be a high end 2C

Imo Thomas belongs to the same niche as Necas and Suzuki. Same age, debuted very young, just a bit stuck in Blues' deep C system.

Shame that Sunshine's not a great hockey market.

Gotta wonder what has Tampa done differently.

Panthers first need to stop playing in Sunrise, Florida, which is like an hour away from Miami
I’ve been to both Sunrise and Tampa and they are very different. The Panthers would be better off in a bigger city like Miami
