A trade that either worked out for both sides or looks to work out very well in the end. A trade on paper that has no faults

For instance in the Eichel trade Tuch should prove to be a nice addition for Buffalo's rebuild and Eichel an excellent addition for Vegas cup hopes

While for bad trade you got Carolina trading a young starter who was in the Vezina conversation for a 3rd or Chicago giving up a tonne for Jones, or heck the Keith trade.

Technically the Keith trade is also a Jones trade

So nice to have the NHL on

Beautiful, beautiful toe-drag wrister. So good to have Pointer back, he had 2 goals and the game-tying assist on Perry's 6th attacker goal.

What an insane game.
-All 4 goals scored by the Habs tonight were the 1sts of the season for each player (Vejdemo, Harvey-Pinard (1st of his career), Clague, and Savard).
-So good to have Pointer back, he had 2 goals plus the assist on Perry's 6th attacker goal.
-The Lightning rang 3 posts and 2 crossbars tonight. (Hedman, Perry, Palat each with 1, and Point had 2)
-Both goalies were actually pretty solid, Lagace made several tough stops (his breakaway save on Evans late kept the game alive) and Montembeault was terrific, he made multiple terrific saves on Katchouk and Point, and without him the Canadiens never would've been in it, his D did him no favors though, especially at the end.
-In 2 games against the Habs this year, Corey Perry has 2 6th-attacker goals to tie the game late. Lightning have 5 6th attacker goals that have tied the game late this year (not counting delayed penalties).
-Lightning have won 6 straight on home ice.

Vegas and LA just combined for 4 goals in 1:13 (3 for the Golden Knights, 1 for the Kings). Wow.

I liked him but since he is playing top 6 with the Sharks that kind of production was expected. At the time he came we had to many LW and he was reduced to the 4th line where his production would be meh if he stuck around. Still got that amazing highlight of him and Draisaitl crashing into each other so thats something.

But honestly if he came over this year from the KHL 100% he would be in the top 6 next to Tavares and Nylander

Heck 2022 if Sharks dont extend him Dubas could always circle back as we do need some cheaper LW's

Keefe gave Vesey and Thornton top 6 mins. Barabanov was never given a chance. I see no reason why he would want to come back. Happy he is finding success, I also always liked him

Well Hyman is gone now and Kerfoot may be moved for cap reasons (Campbells extension) so a top 6 spot is technically open for him come 2023. With the way hes playing Dubas could promise him top 6 mins like he did Thorton and I doubt Keefe would object to it.

Sharks beat the Coyotes 8-7 in a shootout

I'm surprised the Coyotes managed to put up 7 goals

In the 3 NHL games and 1 WJC game a total of 46 goals were scored. Goaltending is overrated anyway

As of 6:30 tonight, the forecast for the Winter Classic called for a high of minus-3 and a low of minus-15 Saturday. flushed cheeks

What’s so bad about that? Sounds like the perfect temperature range for an outdoor game.

Clague’s was also his 1st NHL goal. Great game and the habs lose, so the perfect outcome.

Yep, the best games this year for us are the one where we play good but lose, helps the players and the tank at the same time

Completely agree, didn't say it was bad, just that I feel for the players-it's going to be FRIGID

Would be awesome if it snowed, like that Flames-Jets Heritage Classic in Saskatchewan from a couple of season ago...
