Why would it be frigid for the players? The average temperature for an indoor hockey rink is -3 to -5.5 degrees. Granted NHL rinks are warmer than that, but these are the temperatures that all non-professional hockey players usually play in.

Perry only had 1 point in the first 16 games of the season. 13 points in the last 18 games, very unrealistic to keep up those numbers from a third/fourth line guy. Still fun to watch though.

I read this as NHL stars (all-stars) when I read it the first time and when I saw Benn I was like ok, not really a star player anymore but ok. Then I was so confused when I saw Luke Glendenning haha.

Given that it's going to be somewhere from -3 to -15 degrees Fahrenheit on Saturday at the Winter Classic (which would be the coldest outdoor game in NHL history), the league plans to hand out 40,000 hand warmers to fans, have soup at the concession stands, and have heated benches, penalty boxes and ice. Yes, heated ice. Not a typo.
