Could you imagine if they drafted Chabot, Barzel or Joel Eriksson Ek, Connor or Beauvillier or Boeser


They would have been set up for the future and now even if Bergeron retired

With all the misses they are gonna be heavily slowed down especially with Bergeron and Rask probs retiring soon. As we can already see the impact of losing Krejci.

Honestly anybody is better than a combination of DeBrusk, Zboril, and Senshyn. Aho was also taken in the second round along with guys like Kaprizov and Garland in the fifth round. 2015 draft was absolutely filthy and the bruins literally struck out

Also the fact that they lost the likes of prime Lucic and Dougie Hamilton in exchange to those picks.

Like my acceptable selections were Lucius, Sillinger, Wallstedt, Cossa, Svechkov, and Coronato (in that order). I would bet that all 6, along with probably the majority of the rest of the 1st round, end up better than Boucher. Boston got one 3rd liner from 3 picks, but at least they didn’t waste a top 10 pick…

Jim Benning’s “strong suit” was drafting but we busted hard with Jake Virtanen and Ollie Juolevi. Literally every defenceman drafted after him is better than Ollie Juolevi

What are your thoughts on the sabres trying to overpay for Cernak or Carlo? Maybe someone like Pesce?

Dylan Coughlan, Ethan Bear, Sean Durzi could be some cheaper options. I want defensive players to play next to Dahlin or Power. Jokiharju is our other top4 RDman. Sabres could also luck put and get Jiricek or Nemec.

Sabres won’t get Cernak, Carlo or Pesce, they’d all be untouchable right now you’d think, Coghlan probably won’t move because Vegas is in cap hell and needs those cheap players but Durzi or Bear I could see moving for the right price which may be a bit high for Buffalo. If you can get them for cheap go for it but if they’d be expensive, just continue the rebuild, you still have a couple years before contention anyways

Cernak would be a next season or 2023 off-season thing, same with Carlo. Sabres probably will have a LD and top 9 logjam at that point, they will know who they can move and afford to trade and give a significant amount for either of them.

get a goalie, get depth, go all in please. If they believe Smith/Kos/Skinner plus their current depth is winning a cup.
Were gonna see another prime Leon and Connor year wasted.
