I would say Necas comes in a little higher and KK may end up signing lower (possibly but where is the incentive for him to do that when he is guaranteed 5.1 mil?). I would laugh my butt off if they offered TDA 7 Mil and term that would be as bad as the Gardiner contract or signing Anderson to hopefully get them through the playoffs. Freddie has always faltered in the playoffs no idea why the Canes think he won't for them.

He’s had 2 bad playoffs his entire career. His first for Anaheim and 17-18 for Toronto. He has had 2 outstanding ones with over .935 save percentages, 3 middle of the road ones in .915 range and 1 good one with a .922 save percentage. He has played 3 of the 7 playoffs with teams that had positive Corsi and 4 of 7 positive xGF%. 2 of those 4 were the two years he had bad save percentages. But yea its all on Andersen.

Not saying it's all on Anderson but at some point your top goalie simply has got to steal the series by locking it down. His S% and GAA are good it's the closing out key games that isn't.

You didn’t explicitly say that it was all on Andersen, but it was implied. Maybe, just maybe, the Leafs as a team just suck. Maybe the Leafs actually win a round in the playoffs if they actually have a competent defense, which is what Carolina has. Frankly, I would say that the blame for all the leafs failures should be laid on their stars. They always disappear come playoff time, and they have to rely on depth scoring, which is a definite weakness.

Freddie is just the scapegoat for a garbage leafs team. Can’t wait for all that pressure to fall on Campbell and for him to become the scapegoat. Because it’s impossible for the stars of a team to ever be to blame.

Deangelo isn’t gonna get that much and Gardiner is probably getting traded or bought out.
