Glad Rangers have no cap issues to take on Tarasenko's 7.5m this year and next.

I think this is the most common misstep on CF. People don't pay any attention to other teams' cap situation.

Rangers have 7.25 million in cap space. So yes actually this very much could work.

Your the one who needs to pay more attention. Multiple teams have enough cap space to make a Tarasenko trade work without sending back salary, including the Rangers. Do two minutes of research bud and you'd see that.

It's "you're" not "your."

What do multiple teams have to do with this? You're trading him to the Rangers and you didn't look at their cap situation next season.

Chychruns value was 2 firsts at the start of the season and he has had a horrible season why would his value go up?

A good player having a poor start on the worst team the league deserves a little slack.

Except last year was an exception. He hasn't been that good before nor is he showing he can be the number 1 guy. He's a top pair defenseman, but Trouba only went for Pionk and a 1st and he had more value at the time being a right handed defenseman

He's 23 and been progressively improving each year.

Not really, Rangers certainly don't want any bonus carryover into next season when Zibs and Fox get huge raises.

Again, he's a top pair defenseman or at least has the potential. Without OEL shielding him though he hasn't been as good (neither has the team to be fair). I see a Trouba like arc for him.

OEL did not shield him.

He did. Cut his time having to face other top offensive players. Chych had more defensive zone starts, but OEL eased the pressure off him.
