I don’t think Ghost would keep up his production with Trotzs system and will start playing like he did in Philly. The cost is too steep for the risk of him not performing like he is right now.

This is beyond so bad for Minnesota. You are probably joking with this. Minnesota isn't trading fiala for Crouse, a 4th line player

He's a 4th line player, Minnesota isn't trading fiala for him at all! Capspace doesn't mean Minnesota is giving away fiala for a 4th line player, just stopp

How? A first in a loaded draft that will likely be a lottery pick, a first round player in Ozzy plus two thirds for a guy who they could just buy out? It’s quite a steep price and Fischer isn’t worth much of anything.

The San Jose trade illustrates a commonly-held misconception: that it benefits a bad team starting or in the process of a rebuild to dump bad contracts. Wrong. Developing Wiesblatt and the player taken with the first is what is going to help the Sharks improve. Conversely, the Minnesota trade is wrong because good teams don't get better by dumping good players to create cap space.

In short, Vlasic and a first to Arizona makes sense if Vlasic is on the Wild, not the Sharks.

Sharks have zero interest in this. Wiesblatt and that 1st are major components to our re-whatever and that cap space isn't. Vlasic would immediately reject the trade anyway with his NMC - moot discussion for that reason alone.

When people said Fiala will be traded for a top6 center, I don't think Lawson Crouse was the guy they were talking about... This trade seems like Minnesota would be trading him as just a cap dump, not as the game-breaking, goal-scoring talent he is...
