Just a placeholder for the deals they’ll be making at the deadline with the other teams. Arizona just has the picks to throw them all into one “trade.”

Nice thought on the MInni trade. Minni needs cap and centre, Sabres take on cap. Seattle has too much invested their two goalies....like that thought too.

It’s an undisclosed upper body injury he had surgery on a couple weeks ago. He is expected to be back this season

We don't WANT to get rid of Fiala, we want to use him in order to acquire a high-end center / prospect able to become that. It's not like you could get him for a bargain. If the right deal isn't there, we are more than happy to keep him.

You keep him, I wouldn't take Keven Fiala as a FA if his salary was exactly what it is now - no hits, less than stellar defense, 46 pt with 82game ave -meh

Need to play Peterka next season. No room for him now. Maybe on the 3rd line if they dump Asplund to 4th line.

He would be probably first call up in this scenario

Well... Florida's 1st will be a late one for sure, it's not that far from the 2nd round... And Mittelstadt is already 23 - I don't see him being more than a middle-6 forward at best... So not really.

I'm not saying Florida doesn't make the playoffs but the pick may not be as late as you think. They haven't played well lately and more importantly Bob doesn't seem to show up in the playoffs. It's very possible they get bounced in the first round and the pick is around 20, yes it's late but not as late as most think.

We already have a guy like that - Olofsson. Don't really need another.

BUF shouldn't be trying to get Fiala. I see no reason for him to sign more than his 1 yr QO then walk into UFA status the next season.

The trade is fair, if anything it favors MN. BUF 2nd + Mitts for Fiala is where I see the fair value mark.
