I don't think Sakic lets him walk, but he would look amazing in WSH -- that $$ might just sway him to sign though. Really like that forward group.

I love his defensive prowess and his versatility, that'd make him a great add. But I do question whether or not the extra offense he's shown this year is just a product of him playing with a lot of really good players. Obviously he would be in a similar situation here, but giving all that $ for one year of really good production does concern me a little.

True but he was also a 10th overall pick because of his offensive ability. I know he never really found that game but there's precedents that he can put up point. I'd have no problem paying him less lol

Hard to tell. Depends how he finishes the season. Could be a little less than $5M too.
