I know we're all excited about Knies' season so far, but there's a huge difference between looking decent vs a U20 Slovakia team in one game, and being an impact player in the NHL.

there’s no value there for the islanders if they’re taking on ritchie. they’ve got no interest in taking on all that cap and losing a useful, cheap player for a player they don’t have need for for just a second and a fourth.

1. The stability on the backend will come from signing Jake Sanderson to an ELC in the offseason as well as the development of Lassi Thomson, JBD and others.

2. Holl at his worst is a healthy scratch playing for the Marlies and at his best is a slight upgrade from Zaitsev.
