Is Greiss really an upgrade over Smith and Koskinen? I don't think he is. Yzerman couldn't get a 2nd for Bernier last trade deadline and he played way better than Greiss did with the same team in front of him.

Leddy trade return would be nice. I still think he can get a 1st but I'd be happy with 2 2nds. I don't want another year of Hagelin though. Unless we flip him right after acquiring him. I want roster spots for Veleno and Berggren next season. Vrana will be coming off IR in February or March. I'm not sure what Yzerman will do with Stephens. Seems he's hurt all the time. He missed an entire season before coming here and he's missing most of this season too.

Stecher can be traded if he's healthy by the trade deadline. If any team wants him. No need for him with Lindstrom outperforming him.

I would argue Griess is AS good as Bernier was for us, not better but I dont think hes that much worse although his numbers arent great I believe hes got a bit of the Zadina effect going where numbers are worse than his actual play (but I put this out there as strictly my opinion)

But Bern was traded in the summer, so theres really no way to know what he was offered for Bernier at the TDL if anything at all? Now I imagine youre probably right if he HAD been offered a 2nd, likely would have taken that

However, if you think of it this way, Ned is likely also worth a 2nd or more right? So we got him for Bern and a 3rd.. so if we eliminate the 3rd from the trade and tack on a bad contract coming back in Turris, I still dont see how that isnt worth a 2nd round pick?

I saw Bernier outplay Greiss by a wide margin. If we can't agree on that then there's not much we can talk about.

The goalie market is usually odd, i cant see greiss getting us much . Hed be a good covid safty maybe as a back up or even 3rd goalie. Ill take whatever the best offer for leddy is.

I don't think the Oilers want that trade. Greiss is not the goaltender they need and the pressure to move Turris is not as great as some might think. Turris can be buried in Bakersfield, or the taxi squad, along with almost 76% of his cap hit. After the TDL, he could cost the Oilers less than $96K against their cap.
