I like the first few things. building around those young players, problem is you've committed to winning too soon. you'll have a 30 years old huberdeau playing while Bedard is in his rookie season. to me the rebuild should finish around the same time that your big contracts end, price Gallagher Anderson and Petry. Those contracts end and you can use their money to spend. Build the kids up and spend the money when the time is right on the players whose time lines add up

yotes will charge a lot for a cap dump. i'd imagine they ask for a minimum of 2nd + ylonen.

lol is that a reoccurring wet dream habs fans share?

look at what arizona charged to dump ghost, a 2nd + 7th and he's a much better player on a better contract. it cost 2x2nd's and a 3rd to dump ladd and his contract is shorter than armias.

But Armia is not a bad player like Ladd
Stralman is a bad dman (old)
Philly had too dump Gost so they had to pay
ARI were fine with their salary cap last year

Next offseason, they are losing everyone almost
They need to add 30+ Millions
MTL doesn’t need to move Armia, so we are not trading him as a negative asset. ARI need veteran players & they really need RW. If he bounced back there, ARI can trade him too a contender team

Anyway too complicated for you I’ll stop here

armia is bad. without a doubt overpaid.

why wouldn't the yotes spend that money in free agency instead where they get a better return.

did you think this through?

I agree with you on your value for Armia, especially to Arizona.

Overpaid yes, not bad. If he wasn’t lazy AF he would be amazing. Great hands, great shot, good on the PK, wins puck battles, but he is slow and lazy. Just not the identity I want the Habs to have

not the identity any team wants which is why he's a cap dump. that was a desperation contract bergevin signed. he didn't have any centers to he tried to stack the wings.

Molson asked Bergevin remain competitive, worse call ever. Should have went with a rebuilt right away
