Your proposed Rangers deal is a better offer than the deal Buffalo finally accepted. Buffalo all along until the end wanted four players / draft picks equal to four 1st round picks, but settled for one late round 1st round pick and two players that I highly doubt any team would trade a first round pick for. The swapping of Buffalo's 3rd round pick for Vegas' 2nd round pick is like propaganda being sold to the Buffalo fans to make the trade look better than it actually was, because management believes the fans of Buffalo are not smart enough to realize that there's very little difference between a late 2nd round pick and an early 3rd round pick. Anyway, Just glad Eichel got traded and the Rangers didn't overpay! How frustrating though was it posting trades that Buffalo fans were completely offended with, that turned out to be much more in value than they actually received?

The majority of trades on here with Vegas (at least by non-Sabres fans) were substantially less value than what they ended up getting. Tuch is worth a first, and Krebs is a high value Center prospect- you don’t trade those for picks.

I agree with not trading those players for picks. Tuch and Krebs with time and development could eventually become worth more than a first round pick. I actually believe Buffalo made a good trade, especially considering Eichel's current physical condition.
