Was absolutely the right call. He wasn't progressing in the NCAA, so pulling him out to play him in major junior makes a lot of sense. I still don't see much of an upside as a top 6 NHL player, but we'll have a much better understanding of where he is once he's playing in Ottawa. The 67s is a great organization for him to develop as a Power forward.

It wont be very long until every non-Sens fan hates this guy with every fiber of their being. Tenth overall was a little much, but Boucher is a very "Senators" type prospect

Ottawa most likely could have taken him with their 39th or 49th overall pick.

Matthew Knies went 57th overall and he was a higher ranked, higher scoring, taller, heavier, power forward from the USHL who is now lighting up the NCAA.

Bad pick 10th overall, was doing terrible in the NCAA, so I guess this might help him.

He was a huge reach at 10th overall so it explains why he's not living up to his hype. Can't believe how bad Ottawa did in this draft (will definitely come back to haunt me)

why is It that it's Jan. 14th and he still hasn't played in the OHL?

He tested positive like the day after leaving Boston University. Between that, border travel, and a COVID pause for the 67s, he's not had the chance to play. He had actually been in Belleville practicing with the AHL squad for a while, but I believe he sees his first OHL action tonight.

Edit: nevermind, the 67s are back in action, but Boucher is out with a minor injury.
