Great idea with Pavelski and Sekera heading to Bruins, but the return to Dallas isn't really what they would be looking for. DeBrusk and Senyshyn both seem to have zero to none interest around the league which is why they haven't been moved yet. With the way Pavelski is playing right now I'd say it starts with a 1st and either 2nd or a 3rd, then a 4th or a 5th for Sekera.

Very shortsighted. A half year of Pavelski MIGHT get you to the playoffs but no further. This team just isn't good enough. Use the 1st wisely and you get a long term solution at center.

Fair enough! I guess I should have put in more of an explanation as to my reasoning for making these kinds of acquisitions at the trade deadline. For instance, if they are improving as a team consistently and JDB isn’t and Dallas is mathematically out, this could be a stopgap move without giving up too much.
