What flexibility did you give the pens next season? You traded long term cap for long term cap and a couple pending UFAs for a pending UFA

Koskinen will be UFA after this one, the diffrence bettween those contracts is more than 1,675M per season, (not to mention shorter contract). Flexibility isnt't only about money, but also spot on roster.

You took on Kassian who has 3 years. That’s not creating flexibility in money or roster spot.

I take out Matheson who has 5 years and PIT has replacent already. 1,675M is equivalent of a bottom-six player. I don't know what you wish for..., but to me this is meaningful.

Right so flexibility 3 years down the road, not next year. And I’d rather have Matheson than Kassian tbh. We have like 34 million in cap space without this trade. McGinn, Blueger, O’Connor, Heinen, and potentially a few guys coming up through the system in Puustinen, Hallander, Poulin, Legare in the near future. In this trade scenario add Kassian. It’s just not necessary tbh.
