Yes. I appreciate the interest but he is unavailable but if a good deal comes around then maybe

Moving pesce is just a non starter in my opinion, and in the other two trades boston and Washington aren’t getting anything of interest, just fluff.

Pesce has never been available. Not for Eichel, Laine, Nylander, or Marner, so he sure as hell won’t be for Boeser. If Pesce is being included Petey is coming back. That may sound like a lot, but a top pairing RHD who is elite both on offense and defense, will never come cheap.

I've never considered Pesce "top pairing". I'd say he's a solid Top-4 defenseman.

Carolina would be silly to not include Pesce in a trade with any of those pieces. I get solid defensive RDs are tough to find but he isn’t a god.

But the Canes have a loaded right side with Teravainen, Necas, and Jarvis so they’re not looking to move an RD for him

I never claimed for Pesce to be a god. But if he was a deal breaker in any of the other situations, why would we trade him in a package for Boeser, who isn’t as good as someone like Eichel.

For Pesce, it’d be Boeser++, not the other way around, and that would be if they’d be stupid enough to consider trading him. If they wouldn’t include him in talks for Laine, that should give you a clue to his value.

But that’s nothing. Zero useful pieces. They’ll get better than nothing.

Why should the canes break up arguably the best blueline in the league to trade for a right winger they can’t afford this offseason

Here is the thing you seem to not understand. Teams have different needs. Maybe some team needs a third line center, so that piece is valuable to them. The bruins don’t. It’s not valuable. I think a team would give up a 2nd, which in this instance, is significantly more.

Giving a team PIECES is not how it works - everyone has pieces of somethin' - somethin' to give...

BOS has more 3rd-line centres than Rotten-Ron has fries - thus Dickinson goes to the AHL (so that's 'zero' value on paper for this season)
Rathbone & the 3rd pick are futures & are next year, & beyond (again on paper 'zero' value to BOS currently).

Don Sweeney is not loading-up or off-loading for NEXT Year...
* Bruins main need is a solid/elite LD (#1 or #2 calibre on the left-side) - got any of those?
* Additionally, DS has said the ask for DeBrusk is a similar-aged, PPG, or young NHL player needing a new address w/ up-side...?
