It's not my fault people keep making agms where bad players go to the leafs. If jost is worth a 2nd then i cant wait to see what the leafs get for engvall

Well, apparently every nhl player is bad. Jost is miles ahead of Engvall. Even the most biased leafs fans can recognize something like that.

no, just the bad ones. And no, Jost is not miles ahead of engvall, He's literally worse than him at everything this year and has been at best 'as good' the two seasons prior. Just because leafs fans have convinced themselves Engvall is much worse than he is and that some rando from another team is better despite all the evidence to the contrary doesnt mean it's true.

You say this all the time, yet you don't show any evidence... Meanwhile anyone can tell by his stats and just looking at him that Engvall is a 4th liner (though he has fit in decently on the 3rd line, Mikheyev is a better fit on paper with a fully healthy team), and Jost is a 3rd liner (perhaps a second liner on the right line).

I've posted as much evidence as you have. And the entire point is that if, by stats, Engvall is a 4th liner, than Jost is also a 4th liner and one who looks worse than Engvall. Engvall produces better in less ice time with worse linemates both offensively and defensively and is cheaper.
This doesnt mean I think Engvall is good, this is simply pointing out that Jost is, on his best day, more comparable to Engvall than he is even remotely close to a 2nd liner.

Ok, looking at their stats, I'll admit they are closer than I thought, but Jost is still better, as well as younger, and has far more trade value.

he's certainly not better, especially right now. Younger and more trade value sure, but that doesnt mean much considering how GM's value 1st round pedigree. But then Engvall is also very tall and GM's value that for dumb reasons too.

Exactly right now they have the exact same points per game and admittedly I'm not exactly sure how good Jost is defensively, but I think he's got a small leg up there because Engvall is kind of meh defensively. GMs don't really value height, more weight. Jost has more trade value, and I don't think it's debatable.

Engvall has better defensive metrics, especially this year, and they do love height too

Fair enough, but Jost has been better in previous years offensively.

nope, he's had a lower ppg and gpg mostly, he's just played more games.
