Florida declines I'd think, they don't need more offense plus lundell is cheap and productive on a team that needs to maximize the cap.

Can't trade both, it's gotta be either-or.

This top 9 without Miller AND Boeser is worse than with them in it. Personally, whoever they decide to trade they have to get a Braden Schneider-like player in return so I like that Boeser deal.

If you take out that Florida trade and insert miller back in on the LW, it looks VERY nice.

Miller - Petey - Podz
Hogs - Bo - Garland
Pearson - Dickenson? - Gauthier

True, more offense for less money never helped anyone. They should work on maximizing that cap situation.

The only thing Id do is Lundkvist for Podkolzin.

Vancouver has playoff talent but not cup contender talent - so are you going to blow it up or are you going to try to add?

If you could get J T Miller with draft picks and prospects or young players you should make that move, the Rangers have an open window but it's going to close just as quickly.

I would say try to add, they have too many quality pieces already in place to blow it up now

I don't think the Rangers are ready to contend this season, but they are in a similar position to Vancouver I feel

The Panthers lead the league in goals for. They probably would like to focus more in improving their weaknesses. They need a top4 dman.

Rangers can't afford that the cap of Miller. Florida with their Barkov and Verhague extension need the cap efficiency of Lundell next season especially.

Doubt that NYR trade-call is gonna be Cap compliant for them w/ almost no $$$ going to the Left-Coast.
Think a Boeser deal-in has to have Strome-out and VAN won't do that.

Rutherford might though, that's his kinda trade 100%...

Rutherford ain't making the same mistakes for Vancouver that he did towards the end of his Pittsburgh days

Rangers have plenty of cap space for this year only, which is why they should be buyers, but for rentals only.

Nope, Rangers want to extend Strome and cant afford to resign JT.

& your extend STROME "quote"

OK.

Truth be told I don't think either RW (BB or RS) is the answer for NYR...esp. come playoff time!

So, how much $cratch ((edit:& term??)) are you going to throw @ UFA Strome (US$4.5Mil hefty deal currently - ugggg) who/whom will be 29 when that signing comes around...good luck w/ that.

Personally I think Florida declines the first trade and Vancouver declines the NYR trade.

I have a hard time picturing Florida trading Lundell. Miller would help any team but Lundell could very well be a star. I would make this is trade in a heartbeat if I were Vancouver.

As for the NYR trade, Gauthier is at best a 4th line player, Ronning is an AHL player, Woo may be a bottom pair player, so I see this trade as essentially Boeser for Schneider. Schneider is a good prospect but I think if Boeser were made available he would net at least a good prospect and a 1st or 2nd round pick (prospect dependent).

How many veteran centers do you know in the NHL that are averaging 0.85 ppg making that kind of money and who will extend for probably 5.5m?
