Im good with that trade although not sure why you want Drouin? Dvorak on the third line would play better than he is now as much weaker opposition and he can help Edmonton especially winning face-offs. Drouin doesn't score many goals which is why its a little confusing. Toffoli is slow a molasses but paired with draisaitl could be pretty good.

Not much of this makes sense to me. Trading away 2. 1st round picks, a second, 3rd and fifth picks, as well as 3 great prospects would cripple our development for years, and the return is Koskinen and Turris gone 2 months early, a decent LD that will be expensive as 3LD next year, and Broberg will probably surpass him by then. , Dvorak, who is not better than RNH (except for face offs) at 3rd centre, and Drouin who I’m not sure he makes us better anywhere, Holloway may surpass Drouin before playoff time. Pretty weak return for that much future.

When realistically, what we really need is a goalie and a winger good enough to push RNH to 3C. When healthy our defence would look good in front of a better goalie.

Think the Oilers need a defensive 3C and keep RNH at LW with Draisaitl.

We’ve been going with that motto since ‘06, except for 2017, doesn’t look like it’s worked out yet. Besides, RNH is pretty good defensively, just isn’t a grinder. Besides, the Best defence is a good offence.

I just don't think RNH will do much at 3C.

You need to weigh in on the Habs thread with the big Edmonton trade recently posted, gawd its a disaster for the Oilers.. lol

Moving Koskinen is gonna require at least a 2nd (or 1st) and a prospect.

Montreal won't (and shouldn't) move Dvorak. They gave too much for him to not give him an extended opportunity and a chance for a better season.

Drouin with retention could probably be moved for a pick and prospect. Don't think Edmonton is a good fit. He'd do well there, but another 1-dimensional player isn't what they need.

That's silly. Any team able to absorb his cap hit at the deadline should be willing to take him for free as a 3rd string goaltender. The covid situation means nobody should feel secure with their goaltending. Every team should have a 3rd, or even a 4th ready to go.
I don't think Koskinen is going to be able to bring a team through the playoffs, but he might be able to hold it together for a couple games in an emergency.

No way Edmonton trades 2 1sts for a middle six center and winger. Montreal overpaid for Dvorak and Drouin is very inconsistent
