Ltir is not cap space. This in no way helps the leafs. Not sure why the hell we are giving you a 2nd. It will cost a 4th or a 5th to move bernier.

Why would you sign holtby for 5 mil for 2 years? Cap is way too much in the first place, but why for two years when even you admit he'd probably retire after 1.

Holtby has been decent for Dallas, but not amazing. This is a massive overpay, I don't even think Holtby is a starting goaltender anymore. Everyone thinks Vancouver ruined him, but no, he just isn't that good anymore, at least not consistently

It's joke. Considering that Corey Crawford signed for 2 years and retired before playing, now Bernier can't make it through year 1.

Don't know that NSH needs Zacha, but I'd take a flier on him at that price. If he can fit on a line with Sissons and Trenin, it would let NSH play Jeannot higher in the lineup.

Zacha for a 3rd?! 30 other teams would outbid that offer

At that price, I’d do it. Seems low risk to me. Shouldn’t have too high of a new contract and brings some size and skill to the 3rd line (at least where I see him fitting).

Can never have too many 6OA picks in the system wink

Why are we selling the farm for Chychrun? We are better off holding onto Smith and Mukhamadullin (and picks).

Also, Zacha is a solid winger, that can also play center. A lot of teams would offer more than a 3rd for him. And of all places, going back to play under Hynes’ system would not be ideal for him.

Exactly, he wasn't even that goalie with the caps the last year or two with them.
