Bye Drai

Created by: ragger_lord
Team: 2022-23 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 2, 2022
Published: Jan. 2, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Obviously it's never happening (due to both value and NMC) but someone else on here posted it (I swapped Zub in for White) and I was curious what it looked like from Edmonton's side.

If Pinto, Wright, and Holloway all had productive rookie seasons you would be looking at increased depth, while also adding a solid RD and freeing up money to go after the top UFA goalie.

Yes, I'm ready to be roasted.

The cold truth. You’re actually right. Something dramatic will have to be done in order for Oily folks to win. Every cup winner basically has vezina level goaltending in net and that is just not going to Koskinen when the defense Corp doesn’t have a prime Norris Keith machine.

Ok hypothetically, what if the first was next year and you get Bedard instead?

Tbh trading Drai probably isn't the answer but the Oilers will need to make a change somewhere. You don't win a cup with Smith/Koskinen in net

What if drai makes the senators better and the pick isn’t bedard? There is no guarantee that the sens picks will be first overall and the sens with drai definitely won’t get first overall. If u want one of best players in the world u will have to pay a astronomical price.

If holland wasn’t bad he could have fixed all of those problems last season, but instead he decided to trade away all of our good young players for trash ones. Now unless Keith and smith retire and kassian is dumped to a rebuilding team we won’t have cap space to do anything this offseason.

This would assume he is traded at next year's draft, after the Sens have already won the lottery.

I know it's very hypothetical
